The school piano! Unlike a piano in the  home this piano can sometimes be somewhat abused. Many technicians shy away from school pianos because they often need much work which no one is willing to pay for. Then there can be that headache of tuning the piano and not finding the person who is to pay you. Sometimes the school piano might have a lock on it but these are not always affective in keeping out hands which have no business on piano keys. But there is evidence that children who receive a musical education also do better in all areas of schoolwork. And while true that many public school pianos are in sad shape, There are many that are just the opposite and well maintained. In any case I look forward to servicing any school piano as I love them all.
