Your piano contains over 200 strings
which exert over 40,000 pounds of tension
on the frame and plate. Seasonal changes
in the humidity as well as a normal
decrease in tension cause ALL pianos to
go out of tune. Where you live and how
often and how hard you play all have a
role in determining how often to tune your
piano. We love nothing more than to hear
a well tuned piano so let's keep that piano
tuned and keep in mind that the longer you
wait to tune that piano the more it may
cost if a pitch raise is needed. A stitch in
time may save nine but a tuning in time
may save a Pitch Raise.
